MANILA - A day after Star Magic released a statement announcing that it had conducted a drug test on 40 of its talents, Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla on Tuesday expressed their support to ABS-CBN's talent management arm.

"Kami suportado namin 'yon, para ma-clear, para alam na talaga ng mga tao. I think okay na din siyang way para masagot 'yung mga tanong nila," Bernardo told ABS-CBN News after the press conference for Star Cinema's latest film "Barcelona: A Love Untold," which opens in cinemas nationwide on September 14.

The two were not part of the 40 artists who underwent the drug test last Saturday since they were filming.

The young actor, however, added that he agrees with his uncle Robin Padilla, who earlier urged caution about naming suspected drug users in showbiz.

"Sabi nga niya huwag daw nga munang pangalanan. I think huwag muna dahil baka may madamay na naman tayong hindi naman talaga gumagamit or nagtutulak, hindi ba kawawa din naman. Siguro pag-isipan pa nila or siguraduhin," the "Barcelona" actor explained.
