MANILA - Rommel Padilla is still waiting for the opportunity to work with his son, "La Luna Sangre" star Daniel Padilla.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News and Push.com on Thursday, Rommel said it would be an honor to be part of the top-rating show which also stars Daniel's rumored girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo.

"Of course, isang malaking karangalan na makasama sa isa sa mga nagna-number one na nasa primetime na show. Siyempre gusto ko ring makasama si DJ (Daniel) and si Kathryn (Bernardo)," he said, adding that they were supposed to have starred in a movie together. "Hindi lang nagkasalubong ang schedule."

Rommel stressed, however, that there hasn't been any offer for him to join "La Luna Sangre," but he is open to the idea.

"Sana. Pero wala pa naman [akong naririnig]," he said.

Nevertheless, Rommel said he is happy for his son, especially with the success of "La Luna Sangre."

"Unang-una, answered prayer ang lahat ng ito. Kami ni Karla (Estrada, Daniel's mother), since mag-start si DJ sa industriyang ito, wala kaming ibang ipinagdasal kung hindi maging matagumpay at ito, nabibigyan siya ng magagandang pagkakataon," he said.

"At sa nakikita ko naman, naibabalik niya naman ito sa kanyang mga fans. Lahat ay pinagsasakripisyuhan ni DJ. Itong tinatamasa niya ngayon ay naibabahagi niya din ang blessings niya sa lahat."

Rommel is part of the ABS-CBN afternoon series "The Better Half," which is now down to its last two weeks.
