MANILA – Weeks after their movie “How To Be Yours” opened in cinemas, Bea Alonzo and her former boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson, are still seeing each other.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of her contract signing with real estate developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc. on Tuesday, Alonzo said they are just going with the flow on where their rekindled friendship would take them.

However, she denied that they have gotten back together.

“We are going out," she admitted. "Ang hirap iproseso. We are just really enjoying. Huwag natin pangunahan. Parang right now, we are really enjoying each other’s company."

The actress said they see each other more often nowadays even though they are already done working on “How To Be Yours,” their first project together.

“Lagi kaming nagkikita. Masaya kapag nagkikita kami. Hanggang doon muna I guess. Kung magiging kami, hindi ko alam. Mababalitaan niyo, agad-agad. I promise you,” she said.

Meanwhile, Alonzo shared how she appreciates how Anderson brings out the other side of her as they spend more time together.

“There are things na akala ko hindi ko kayang gawin pero parang kapag in-encourage nila akong gawin, him and his friends, parang kaya ko pa rin palang gawin. It’s very, very interesting to know na mayroon palang other side of me that I haven’t discovered before and he helps me discover that side,” she said.

For instance, Alonzo and Anderson recently when on a hiking trip in Subic. In an earlier interview, both mentioned that Subic is memorable for them after they went there on a spontaneous trip when they were still together.

“Nag-hike kami. Exciting naman! First time ko nag-hike in my life. Kasama namin 'yung friends niya, cousin ko, friends ko,” she said.

Alonzo said spending more time with Anderson lately has also made her discover a lot of new things about the actor.

“Marami talaga [akong nadi-discover sa kanya] like how he is so passionate about helping others. I have never been close to a person na ganun ka-genuine and ka-passionate sa pagtulong sa iba at sa pag-i-improve ng sarili niya for the country and for other people.”

“Sabi ko nga, ‘Alam mo puwede kang magpulitika.’ Pero siyempre ayaw niya talaga pero nasabi ko talaga sa kanya 'yun kasi genuinely I think napakamatulungin niyang tao. Kapag nakikita ko 'yun, parang nagugulat ako kasi you don’t always meet people like that. I didn’t see that before in him,” she said.
