MANILA - Former matinee idol Aga Muhlach has returned to ABS-CBN.

On Thursday afternoon, Muhlach expressed his excitement over his return as he signed a new contract.

Present during the signing were ABS-CBN executives including president and CEO Carlo Katigbak and COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes.

Muhlach is the fourth judge of ABS-CBN's upcoming show "The Pinoy Boyband Superstar" along with Yeng Constantino, Sandara Park and Vice Ganda.

"When it was offered to me, me and my wife (Charlene Gonzales) talked about it. I think this is the right path," he said.

"I'm excited... It's going to be fun."

Aside from the said TV show, Muhlach is also set to return to the big screen.

"One step at a time, I will do this [show] first. Then, of course, let's get back to hopefully [doing a] movie. 'Yun ang pinakagustong-gusto kong gawin talaga, pelikula talaga (That's what I really want to do)," he said.

When asked if he was referring to his reunion movie with "The Voice Kids" coach Lea Salonga, Muhlach replied: "Matutuloy din 'yan (it will push through), we just have to make sure that we get the right script."

He continued: "I'm game anytime. Anytime Star Cinema is ready, anytime Lea's ready or whoever, I'm here. I'm back."
