Francine Diaz and Andrea Brillantes share a light moment during a makeup removal video as cover girls of Preview.ph. YouTube: Preview.ph

MANILA — Francine Diaz and Andrea Brillantes portray bitter rivals in the hit afternoon drama “Kadenang Ginto,” but in real life, the two are “girlfriends” whose playful bond is a stark contrast to their onscreen feud.

That friendship has been evident in their “The Gold Squad” vlog series, with co-stars Kyle Echarri and Seth Fedelin, but early this week, a makeup video with only the ladies gave a clearer impression of their closeness.

As cover girls of fashion magazine Preview.ph, Diaz and Brillantes were tasked to demonstrate their makeup removal routine in a video. They delivered that -- and more.

The teen stars somehow connected each step of the makeup removal to love, resulting in a witty exchange of “hugot” and pickup lines.

The official video alone has already garnered nearly 3 million views in less than a week, with fans commenting, in jest, that they now “shipped,” or supported the tandem, of “FranDrea” (Francine and Andrea), instead of their respective actual love teams with Echarri and Fedelin.

On Facebook, a fan edit compiling the pickup lines has already been watched nearly 2 million times, and on Twitter, similar compilations championing “FranDrea” continued to gain traction, as of writing.
