MANILA – Veteran actor Spanky Manikan is currently battling cancer and he is in need of financial assistance, his fellow actor Nanding Josef wrote on social media.

According to Josef, Manikan has stage four lung cancer and “has been hospitalized four times already for various complications which has drained family savings.”

While Manikan is slowly getting better, according to Josef, he still needs six more cycles of chemotherapy. As of writing, Josef said Manikan is still confined at the hospital for “lung fluid drainage.”
