MANILA – Piolo Pascual has apologized to Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil after his comment that he admires the actress’ beauty was taken out of context by some fans.

In an interview on Sunday, Pascual said he was bothered when some people put malice into his comment, adding that he would never use anybody for a career move.

“Nag-sorry ako kay Liza and Quen kasi hindi ako mandadawit ng ibang tao sa ikauunlad ng career natin. Sabi ko na-interview ako pero hindi ako manyak. Minsan 'yung mga tao, wala sa lugar mag-isip eh. Tapos 'yun pa ang pini-pick up nila,” he said.

Pascual further shared: “Nakakailang tuloy na nakita ko 'yung dalawa kanina, but si Liza pa 'yung nag-approach sa akin. Sabi niya, ‘I heard nagpapa-sorry ka.’ Sabi ko I just don’t want you to take things out of context kasi hindi ako ganun magsalita.”

Because of the negativity on social media, Pascual said if it were all up to him, he would rather not maintain any social media account.

“Nagpahinga ako ng three months pero kinausap ako ng mga kaibigan ko, ng mga kasama ko na kailangan ko ‘yun because of my work and because of my contractual obligations sa mga endorsements ko,” he said.

“Sabi nila ‘Kailangan mo sa trabaho ‘yan, that’s part of your job, that’s part of your promotion.’ Bumalik ako. Ang sarap sana iwanan pero ang hirap pero dasal na lang siguro at block na lang.”
