MANILA - Actor Rayver Cruz was asked about the real score between him and Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean "MJ" Lastimosa in a television interview aired Monday.

On the ABS-CBN talk show "Magandang Buhay," Cruz maintained that he and Lastimosa are just dance partners in the Sunday variety show "ASAP."

"Oo nga eh, inaasar kami palagi kasi palagi ko siyang nakaka-partner sa 'ASAP,'" he said.

When asked what he thinks of Lastimosa, Cruz replied: "Si MJ sobrang ganda, sobrang bait."

The actor admitted, however, that they have yet to get to know each other. "Makikilala mo lang [kasi] kapag makakasama mo [nang mas matagal]," he said.

This prompted "Magandang Buhay" host Melai Cantiveros to say: "Mabait 'yun, nakakasama ko na rin 'yun. Yes, this is it! Abangan natin ang kanilang susunod na kabanata, no?"

Cruz revealed that he has been single for almost four years, and said that he is "ready" for a new love.

He said he is just waiting for the right time and person. "Ready naman ako anytime. Gusto ko lang na dumating siya. Maganda rin kasi 'yung right timing," he said.

Describing his ideal woman, the actor added: "Of course maka-pamilya, madaling pakisamahan, kalog, mabait. Bonus na lang 'yung looks."

Cruz, who is busy promoting his new album, previously dated singer Sarah Geronimo and actress Cristine Reyes.

Geronimo is currently in a relationship with actor Matteo Guidicelli, while Reyes is married to mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi.
