MANILA - Another talented young artist from Lea Salonga's team will be moving on to the next round on "The Voice Kids."

In an episode aired Sunday, three artists from Salonga's FamiLEA -- Yssa Marie West, Gabie Mendoza and Julian Lascota -- performed the upbeat song "Walking on Sunshine," in a bid for a slot in the next round.

Bamboo Mañalac chose Mendoza as the best in the group, while Sharon Cuneta picked West.

Salonga also picked West, who has been dubbed "The Hawaiian Sunshine Girl" on the singing contest.

"With Yssa, you were always this ray of sunshine, even in Blinds. Consistent ka sa performance, consistent ka sa rehearsals. There's nothing else I can ask from you," she said.

The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
