MANILA - Alvin Dahan, who wowed the judges of "The Voice Kids" when he reached the whistle tone during his blind audition, is now part of the final eight members of the team of Sharon Cuneta.

Dahan sang the inspirational classic "I Believe I Can Fly" with Malabon's Gabrielle Soldevilla and Rizal's Beatrice Ong for the singing contest's Battle Round.

While praising his teammates, Cuneta told Dahan that he did not disappoint her when he again delivered strong vocals. "Ineexpect na namin lahat na magaling ka. Ang masakit sa 'kin, bakit isa lang ang dapat piliin ko," she said.

The Megastar eventually picked Dahan, who hails from the coastal town of Bucana, Davao. He joins 11-year-old Hannah Hakami from Butuan, who also won a spot in the Sing-Offs after belting out Ariana Grande's "Focus" on Saturday.
