MANILA - A poor boy living at a creekside barangay in Bulacan is moving on to the Sing-Offs of "The Voice Kids" after charming coach Sharon Cuneta with his performance of "Hataw Na."

Timoty Pepito, 7, sang a high-pitched version of the Gary Valenciano dance hit with teammates Yuliyah Agraviador and Memphis Mapala during Saturday's Battle Rounds.

According to Cuneta, Pepito delivered the best performance among three. "Ang pipiliin ko ay iyong total package, si Timoty," she said.

Pepito joins Antonetthe Tismo, a young girl who sings to sell rice cakes to help her family. The two are the first young artists to represent the Megastar's team in the next round.
