MANILA - A 12-year-old poor boy with an ailing father is moving past the Battle Rounds of "The Voice Kids" after outlasting two other young artists during Saturday's episode.

Bernard Badato, whose father had to give up selling street food because of his worsening condition, sang Apo Hiking Society's "Doo Bidoo" with teammates Arnie Maun and Miguel Suarez.
