MANILA – Former "Pinoy Dream Academy" runner-up Jay-R Siaboc appeared on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Monday to share his whole side of the story one week after he surrendered to the police for allegedly being a drug pusher.

Siaboc said he showed up at the police station in Toledo City, Cebu last week after a friend paid him a visit at his house talking about a supposed “watch list” of illegal drug users and pushers.

Narrating what happened at the police station, Siaboc recalled: “Sabi nila sa kain, sige tatanggalin nga daw 'yung pangalan ko sa sinasabing ‘watch list.’ Tapos may pina-fill up sila sa akin. The rest po ng nangyari doon, naki-cooperate ako sa kanila. Gusto ko lang po talaga klaruhin, linisin na hindi po totoo 'yung sinasabi nila.”

Siaboc said he wanted to clear his name because he feared for his life, especially now with the government's campaign against illegal drugs.

However, Siaboc did not deny that he also used illegal drugs before he had his own family.

Lahat ginagawa ko para sa pamilya ko sa maayos na pamamaraan, na pamumuhay. Please lang, namumuhay kami ng maayos, tahimik. Ayaw na po namin matakot talaga. May anak na ako, may pamilya ako,” he said.

Asked what is his takeaway from all this, Siaboc said: “Natutunan ko na dapat pa mas pahalagahan ang mga bagay na dumadating sa buhay natin dahil 'yun po ang hindi ko nagawa nung nasa akin pa ang lahat.”
