Song Joong Ki may soon be paying the Philippines a visit.
Viva Entertainment is teasing a possible deal to bring the popular Korean actor to Manila, as part of a campaign to promote his upcoming historical movie "Battleship Island."
On Wednesday, a video about the movie's official posters were uploaded on the YouTube channel of Viva Entertainment.
The caption for the clip read: "As of now, may negotiations pang nagaganap para makapunta si Song Joong Ki sa Pinas."
Viva International Pictures earlier said that "Battleship Island," about Korean coal miners forced to work under the Japanese colonial rule, will be shown in local cinemas.
A premiere date, however, has yet to be released.
Back in May, Viva International Pictures struck a deal to have Sandara Park's "One Step" movie be screened in select malls. They also had the former 2NE1 member visit the country for a promotional tour.
Song is popular with Filipinos for his role in "Descendants of the Sun," which was dubbed in Tagalog. He recently made headlines locally after announcing his engagement with co-star Song Hye Kyo, sending his Pinoy fans into a frenzy.
