Cathy Garcia-Molina is leaving "La Luna Sangre" to focus on a new Star Cinema movie, the director revealed Tuesday.

Garcia-Molina, who is beloved by fans for her work in hit shows such as "Got to Believe," will be replaced by Richard Arellano and GB Sampedro.

Speaking with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe, she expressed regret over the move but explained that it is her "duty" to adhere with decisions made by higher-ups.

"La Luna Sangre" began airing June 19, with Garcia-Molina in the director's chair. It drew rave reviews from fans, with many dubbing it as one of the most exciting pilot weeks for local TV in recent years.
