The hearing on the child abuse and cybercrime complaints against Ellen Adarna has been delayed a third time, after the actress failed to show up again at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office Monday.

Myra Abo Santos, the complainant, hit what she called an apparent "play to delay" the case, in a text message to ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe.

"I'm very very disappointed with the turnout of today's hearing," she said. "Ms. Ellen has been given more than 1 month to answer the charges and to ask for a resetting again and for 2 more weeks pa is sobra na. Maybe their play is to delay the case but my quest for justice for my daughter is unwavering."

The case is in connection with a "paparazzi" incident in May where Adarna publicly accused a minor on social media of taking photos of her at a restaurant without her permission.

Santos, the mother of the 17-year-old girl whose photo was uploaded by Adarna in her Instagram Stories, filed the complaints after the actress did not respond to the family's request for a public apology over the accusation.

The preliminary investigation into the case was originally scheduled on June 4, four days after Adarna's father, hotelier Alan Adarna, passed away. It was reset to June 11, but Adarna skipped that, too, although her boyfriend, actor John Lloyd Cruz, attended.

Due to Adarna's absence on Monday's hearing, it has been re-scheduled again to another date.

Adarna, who has long been rumored to be pregnant with her first child with Cruz, has been reported in recent weeks to be due to give birth this month.
