Aiza Seguerra is supportive of Charice's decision to change his name to Jake Zyrus.

Seguerra, also a transgender man himself, wrote on Twitter: "Kung ang pangalan ay isa lamang hadlang sa pagpapalaya ng totoo mong pagkatao, wala akong nakikitang masama sa pag palit nito."

Seguerra, a recording artist and former TV host who is now the chairman of the National Youth Commission, punctuated his post with a hashtag congratulating Jake Zyrus on his transformation.

Jake Zyrus made his debut on Monday via Twitter. His post where he introduced his new name has garnered thousands of likes, as well as mixed messages of support and criticism.

Responding to the bashing he received, he wrote: "I won't let anyone ruin this moment. I won't let anyone ruin my happiness. Thank you to all the beautiful write ups about me."
