MANILA -- A month after breaking up with girlfriend Alyssa Quijano, Charice has changed his name to Jake Zyrus -- at least on social media.

Over the weekend, the singer, who gained international recognition for her belting prowess, changed his Instagram handle to Jake Zyrus as he posted the simple message of thanks.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I'm sending peace to everyone.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I'm sending peace to everyone," the singer wrote in the caption.

Aside from his Instagram, Charice also changed his Twitter handle to Jake Zyrus.

Last June 2, Charice marked his fourth year of coming out of the closet.
