MANILA – “My Dear Heart” and “A Love to Last” ruled the ratings game last Friday with the two ABS-CBN series outperforming their rival programs.

Citing data from Kantar Media, Dreamscape announced that the finale of “My Dear Heart” earned a nationwide rating of 34 percent.

This figure is 19.1 percentage points higher than the recorded rating of GMA 7’s “My Love from the Star” which aired during the same timeslot.

In the series' final episode, Dr. Margaret (Coney Reyes) made the ultimate sacrifice so the young Heart (Nayomi Ramos) could live.

Meanwhile, Star Creative’s “A Love to Last” also recorded a whopping 24.3 percent nationwide rating compared to “Meant to Be’s” 12.8 percent score.

The Kapamilya show’s Friday episode featured the much-awaited wedding of lead characters Anton Noble IV (Ian Veneracion) and Andrea Agonciollo (Bea Alonzo).

In a previous interview, Alonzo noted that the wedding is just the middle point for "A Love to Last," adding that the best and the worst days of the two character’s life have yet to happen.
