MANILA -- Kris Aquino is giving her 11-year-old son Bimby time until he is finally ready to reconcile with his father, PBA star James Yap.

In a 43-minute video on Facebook, Bimby asked his mom when she’s proudest of him. To which, Aquino answered that it was when she asked Bimby to do something that was really hard for him.

“I’ve been doing this movie and there are certain things in that movie, there was a line there na na-affect po talaga ako. My proudest moment for you is that I said to you, ‘How could I effectively deliver those lines if I can’t make it true in my heart, right?’ There was a message there about forgiveness, about doing forgiveness not because you’re doing it for another person but you’re doing it for yourself because it’s a gift," Aquino said.

As far as she is concerned, Aquino said the very fact that Bimby tried is already more than enough.

Aquino said she had to do a lot of reckoning lately and that made her realize that Bimby is lucky to still have a father who is alive.
