MANILA -- Pokwang is pregnant again at the age of 44, two years after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage.

Ogie Diaz, Pokwang's manager and close friend, revealed on Facebook Thursday afternoon that the comedienne is expecting her first child with boyfriend, American actor Lee O'Brien.

Pokwang has yet to share the news on her social media accounts.

Pokwang first confirmed her relationship with O'Brien in January 2015. Seven months later, she revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage.

Asked how she coped with the pain of losing an unborn baby, she said that she kept telling herself: "May mas magandang plan si God na mas matibay."

Pokwang met O'Brien while working on the TFC movie "Edsa Woolworth." She already has a daughter with a former partner, who is based in Japan.
