MANILA - Rocker Bamboo Mañalac recruited young balut vendor Bien Makisig Aduca for his Kamp Kawayan team on "The Voice Kids" on Sunday.

Aduca, who hails from Tarlac, earned Mañalac's nod with his rendition of "If I Sing You a Love Song," although both Sharon Cuneta and Lea Salonga did not turn for the boy.

"Napakaganda ng iyong boses, nakakatuwa siya, pero parang mas bata ka sa 10 years old. Masyado lang sigurong tinutulak mo pa to sound a little older. Kung medyo palalabasin mo lang na natural, mas maganda," Cuneta said.

"Congratulations at umikot para sa 'yo si Coach Bamboo. Ang lakas, ang taas ng boses mo. I couldn't figure it out, pero malaki 'yung potential mo. Gagaling ka pa," Salonga added.

Mañalac explained why he turned for Aduca. "'Yung nagustuhan ko talaga, is 'yung lamig mong kumanta, makulay siya. At 'yun ang parang trademark na parati kong hinahanap," he said.

Kamp Kawayan now has six members, with Aduca joining Alyssa Suzuki, Hans Gerald Santos, Xylein Herrera, Justin John Alva, and Aiken Ramos.

"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
