Back in October, Laurel posted on Instagram that she and Mercado have decided to cancel their wedding plans. She did not give a reason, but vehemently denied that a third party was involved.

Now, it appears Laurel and Mercado are spending more and more time with each other once more.

The "Better Half" star recently posted a photo of Mercado with her son, which she had from a previous boyfriend, and said that she is grateful she got to meet the PBA player after a lengthy time.

In the interview with Pep, Laurel was similarly positive as she spoke about her setup with Mercado: "Even we're not officially together, we love each other, my son loves him, he loves my son, I love them both."

"There's no perfect people, there's no perfect relationship, but what I love for being imperfect is every time na may something, we grow as individuals or together," she explained.

Prior to them calling it off, Laurel and Mercado have been engaged since 2013. There were even talks about them having two weddings.

Asked about if their plans are back on again, Laurel said: "They were correct to think that before, pakasal na kami, kasi we were engaged, and that's what engaged people do.You have the ring, you wear it, you make plans for your future."

"But sometimes it takes longer to get there than other people."
