MANILA -- Barely two weeks after their engagement, celebrity couple Paul Jake Castillo and Kaye Abad are rushing to get married.

In an interview on "Magandang Buhay" on Monday, Castillo said this is because they would want to have a baby soon.

Castillo recalled her mother asking her about their plans.

"Sabi ko unahin ko na 'yung baby. Nagalit siya eh, ayaw niya. So 'yun, kailangan mamadaliin 'yung wedding para sana makabuo ng baby," the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate shared.

He also said that he felt that the right time to ask for Abad's hand in marriage was during her 34th birthday last May 17.

"On that day lang talaga. 'Yung mom ko nga nagalit. Sabi niya bakit biglaan, tapos sabi, why Tuesday na? Sabi ko kung hindi sa Tuesday kailan pa? Baka next birthday pa," Castillo shared.

The two are now choosing the right date for their wedding.

"'Yung family namin kasi believes in feng shui. We are trying to look for right date na papayag 'yung feng shui," Castillo said, noting that Abad will be more involved in the wedding preparations.

According to Abad, she doesn't like pastel colors for her wedding gown. "Gusto ko dark tones, ayaw ko ng pastel," she said.

The actress also doesn't like a beach wedding. "Baka pagkatapos ng kasal iba na ang kulay ko. Baka church," she said.

"Simple lang," she said of the theme. "Ayaw ko ng puro flowers. Gusto ko may candles and lights."
