MANILA - There were tears of joy aplenty shed by friends and family of Kaye Abad as the actress said yes to the proposal of boyfriend, actor Paul Jake Castillo, late Tuesday.

In a video uploaded by Nice Print Photography, several of those who were in attendance to witness the engagement rushed to congratulate the 34-year-old Abad, who was overwhelmed with emotion herself.

Abad and Castillo started off as friends, but later on became a couple. Prior to Castillo, Abad was in a relationship with actor-singer Guji Lorenzana. Castillo, on the other hand, was with actress Melissa Ricks.

The couple first admitted their relationship back in April 2014. In an interview last July, Abad said that she will not have second thoughts in saying yes if Castillo asks for her hand in marriage. "Kung aarte pa ako, parang sinayang ko na lang rin, 'di ba?" she reasoned.
