MANILA -- Much has changed in Richard Gomez's life since he left his job as a service crew and entered showbiz -- and eventually politics.

Yet, despite these, nothing beats the simple joy of doing the things you enjoyed during your childhood summers.

On Monday, Gomez uploaded on Facebook a video of himself up on the roof to pick green mangoes straight from the tree.

"Pag-alis ni Cong. Lucy, umakyat ako sa bubong para pumitas ng Indian mangoes!" he captioned.

Gomez even sampled a freshly harvested fruit.

Many Pinoys obviously related to Gomez's video, which has now garnered over 39,000 reactions and 21,000 shares on social media.
