MANILA -- After taking a sudden leave from "Home Sweetie Home" last year, is John Lloyd Cruz, who plays the role of Romeo, finally leaving the sitcom for good?

On the show's episode on Saturday, Julie (played by Toni Gonzaga) opens up to JP (Piolo Pascual) about her plans of having her marriage to Romeo (Cruz) annuled.

Prior to their conversation, Julie received a series of messages from Romeo, where he apologized to her and asked her to decide on the fate of their relationship.

It was after reading these messages that Julie decided to talks to JP about his cousin and their relationship.

Romeo is said to be working abroad for his wife and family. It is also implied that he cheated on Julie with another woman.

In an interview last March, Gonzaga acknowledged that they are currently writing a "new chapter in Julie's life," and that may or may not involve Romeo.
