MANILA - Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca and Yen Santos have been revealed as the cast of the new series from Dreamscape entitled "Because You Love Me."

It will be helmed by Dan Villegas, the award-winning director behind films, such as "English Only, Please," “The Breakup Playlist" and "Walang Forever."

It promises to be different as it will focus on triathletes and the sport of triathlon, which has been growing in popularity in the country over the past few years but have yet to reach the same level as the likes of basketball or volleyball.

Speaking with the press on Wednesday, Anderson said "Because You Love Me" will feature a lighter tone than most television shows, and claimed that it will be "revolutionary."

"Light siya pero the back story at tsaka yung dala naming pain, malalim. Pero hindi iyong tipong iiyak ka lang, we're going to do it in a different way. Naniniwala ako na babaguhin niya ang landscape ng mga TV shows natin," he said.

Meanwhile, Villegas, also the boyfriend of "On the Wings of Love" director Antoinette Jadaone, admitted that he is looking forward to the challenge of recapturing the intensity of a triathlon for television viewers.

"Ang bilis kasi, ang daming nangyayari, may underwater, may --iyong size and scope ng show ay malaki," the director said.

Santos, for her part, said that it has always been her dream to be cast alongside Anderson and Cuenca --whom she had worked with in an episode of "Wansapanataym"-- for a full-length series.

An official synopsis and a premiere date for the series has yet to be revealed. It will also feature Bing Loyzaga, Joel Torre, Helen Gamboa and Tonton Gutierrez, among others.
