MANILA – Xian Lim was at a loss for words after his Best Supporting Actor win at Tuesday night's Gawad Tanglaw awards for his performance in the movie “Everything About Her.”

For Lim, his victory has yet to sink in.

“All the hard work, nakakagaan lang talaga ng loob na nandito ako at nakasama ako. Natuwa nga ako kasi katabi ko si Ma’am Charo (Santos-Concio) tapos nasa likod ko si John Lloyd (Cruz). Sabi ko ang galing naman nitong experience na ito. It’s something to remember for a lifetime,” he said.

Lim said this kind of recognition makes him want to do more films that challenge him as an actor.

“If there’s one thing I learned dito sa pelikula, sabi nga ni Ate Vi (Vilma Santos), years and years in the business, hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin daw niya alam ang ginagawa niya, nakakapit pa rin daw siya sa director. It’s just sana marami pa akong makatrabaho, mabigyan ng mas marami pang proyekto. 'Yun lang naman, to be able to express myself creatively,” he explained.

Does he have a list of actors he wants to work with in the future?

“Marami. Simulan natin kila Ms. Anne Curtis, Ms. Sarah Geronimo, si Bea (Alonzo). Marami. It would be unfair to miss out sa mga gusto ko pa makatrabaho but it just feels so good to be here, to have this recognition,” he said.

One of Lim’s current projects is the upcoming Star Cinema movie “Dear Other Self” with Jodi Sta. Maria and Joseph Marco.
