MANILA - Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, and Nadine Lustre will be part of the lineup of the MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 -- a music festival organized by MTV in collaboration with the Philippines Tourism Promotion Board.

It was earlier revealed that American pop rock band One Republic will be performing at the music festival scheduled for June 24. A venue and the full list of artists have yet to be announced.

Last year's MTV Music Evolution Manila was top-billed by a mix of international and local names such as Naughty by Nature, YG, DJ Mustard, apl.de.ap, Abra, and Gloc-9. It was held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

According to Philippines Tourism Promotion Board chief operating officer Domingo Ramon Enerio III, the music festival has become a venue to showcase Filipino acts to a global audience.

"We look forward to welcoming international and regional fans and artists to Manila. And we invite young people to come experience our music culture in the Philippines," Enerio added.
