MANILA - The scheduled fan meeting of South Korean musician-actor Kang Min Hyuk in Manila has been cancelled.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Kang's agency, FNC Entertainment, said the fan meeting has been cancelled due to "unforseen local circumstances."

"Both FNC ENTERTAINMENT and the local promoter have tried their best to reschedule the event but unfortunately, have not been able to find a new date," the agency wrote.

FNC also apologized to Kang's fans for the cancellation.

"We deeply apologize to all fans who have been waiting for this event and for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused," FNC added.

Kang's fan meet, "2018 Romantic Sailing in Manila," was supposed to be held on May 12 at the ABS-CBN Ayala Vertis North Tent.

Kang visited Manila last December with his band, South Korean pop rock group CNBLUE, where he plays the drums.

Kang has also ventured into acting, starring in several dramas such as "The Heirs" and "Heartstrings."
