MANILA -- Megastar Sharon Cuneta on Thursday night reacted to a report that her reunion movie with former husband Gabby Concepcion was put on hold due to scheduling conflicts.

The two were expected to reunite on the big screen this year under Star Cinema, which would have been their first movie since 1992's "Tayong Dalawa."

In her official Facebook page, Cuneta apologized to all her fans for what happened.

"Thanks for all your prayers and I am sorry it's not pushing through," Sharon wrote.

She also urged her fans to be happy for her, stressing that she will soon have a new movie project.

"But please be happy for me -- because I am very happy with my new project which Star Cinema is now preparing! God bless us all. Good night and love you guys!," Cuneta added

Concepcion on Thursday released a statement through ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual.

It read: "Gabby Concepcion has always wanted to do a movie with Sharon Cuneta. However due to his tight schedule and current commitments it will not be possible anytime soon. We will study our option in 2018."

It was December last year when Star Cinema announced the reunion movie project of Cuneta and Concepcion.

In an interview last month, Cuneta could not give a direct answer when asked if her supposed movie with Concepcion would push through.

Cuneta said she was waiting for Star Cinema's go signal before she begins filming her comeback movie, which is slated for a May release.

The actress said that if she would have it her way, she would still want a movie with Concepcion for their fans.

Concepcion is the father of Cuneta’s eldest daughter, KC.
