MANILA – Sharon Cuneta could not give a direct answer when asked if her supposed movie with former husband, Gabby Concepcion, will still push through after it was first reported in December.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, Cuneta referred the question to the executives of ABS-CBN’s film outfit, Star Cinema.

At this point, Cuneta said she is just waiting for the green light before she begins filming her comeback movie, which is slated to come out in May.

“When it comes down, hindi ko alam kung same or iba, when maibigay na 'yung marching orders ko, then I’ll shoot right away,” she said.

But if Cuneta would have it her way, she still wants to do a movie with Concepcion for their fans who have been waiting for it for years.

“Thirty years na akong hindi nagtataas ng sweldo. It doesn’t change no matter who my partner is. I just want to give my fans, the Sharon-Gabby fans, siguro closure. Or it may be the beginning of something greater for the two of us,” she said.

“Sayang kung hindi matuloy. But I am just here patiently waiting for what Star Cinema tells me,” the singer-actress added.

The last time Cuneta and Concepcion topbilled a film was back in 1992 for "Tayong Dalawa."

Concepcion is the father of Cuneta’s eldest daughter, KC.
