Tandingan took the stage with a heartfelt rendition of Freddie Aguilar's "Anak," initially in its original Filipino version, and later mixed with the Mandarin translation.

The Breakout episode saw previously eliminated artists, including Tandingan, performing again to in the hopes of clinching one of four slots in the April 13 finals.

Tandingan, however, failed to get a slot in the finals, ending her journey in the Hunan television program where she competed with the likes of British pop star Jessie J, her idol.

The Kapamilya star joined "Singer 2018" in its fifth episode as a challenger, following the elimination of another superstar-contender. She got regular status the following episode, and went on to perform thrice more until her elimination.

Tandingan has said that while she's not aware of the winner's prize in "Singer 2018," she already considers reaching out to the audience in China as a priceless accomplishment.
