MANILA - Cristine Reyes, the star of the afternoon drama "Tubig at Langis," on Tuesday revealed the biggest lesson she learned from her much-publicized fallout with veteran actress Vivian Velez.

"I guess it's better to be just quiet," the 27-year-old Reyes said in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Tuesday. She refused to further elaborate on the topic.

In a rant on social media early March, Velez claimed that Reyes humiliated her and that the incident forced her to tender her "immediate irrevocable resignation" from the ABS-CBN show.

Reyes, however, alleged that Velez was already being written out of "Tubig at Langis" because of several complaints from the production staff regarding her behavior.

"It saddens me that I'm being used in this particular situation of hers. Sana if ever na mag-settle na lahat ng emotions niya ay maisip niya at ma-realize niya na we all know the truth," Reyes said.

Reyes also said Velez was lying and denied that she had asked for the screen veteran to be thrown out their shared dressing room while filming an episode.

In the same "Tonight with Boy Abunda" interview, Reyes also talked about whether she gets jealous when husband, Ali Khatabi, works with female models.

"Hindi naman. Very friendly naman iyong mga girls. Pag nakikita nila ako, lumalapit naman sila sa akin," she said.

Reyes married Khatabi in a private wedding ceremony held in Balesin, Quezon in January. They have a child, Amarah.
