MANILA -- Liza Soberano confirmed that Tony Labrusca is one of the actors considered for a role in her upcoming movie, "Darna."

"I think, yes. He's one of the options," she said in an interview on Thursday.

When asked if her long-time partner and rumored boyfriend, Enrique Gil, will not be part of "Darna," Soberano replied: "We have our respective projects. And I think it's also good that we have our own work din para mag-grow kami, and we get to work with different actors and actresses as well."

In a previous interview, Labrusca did not confirm nor deny if he will be part of the upcoming movie adaptation of "Darna."

"For me, anything can be changed. Until you sign that contract, you'll never know. I can't claim to be part of a movie if I haven't signed anything," he said.

Meanwhile, Soberano said she has begun shooting scenes for the upcoming Star Cinema movie.

"It's actually really fun. Kakaiba rin ito talaga na pelikuila, and it's really fun working with direk Erik Matti and the rest of the crew. I'm enjoying it," she said.

Last week, Star Cinema stressed that "Darna" is in full swing after an article by entertainment editor Ricky Lo claimed that the movie will no longer push through.
