She was dubbed as the most beautiful face in 2017, but Liza Soberano wants you to know she's more than that.

On Monday night's episode of "Tonight With Boy Abunda," the 20-year-old Kapamilya actress said she worked hard to prove any doubters wrong.

"People always say I'm just a beautiful face. So immediately I knew what I wanted. I wanted to be recognized for more than that. Maybe it could be my talent, maybe it could be my heart, but what I want in life is to make a name for myself and to represent what I'm really about," she said.

"Through that, I have to work hard, like in my teleserye and my movies. I have to work hard to show people that I'm more than just what they see physically that I am talented and that I care. I have empathy for people because eventually the beauty will go away. I will age. I won't look the same as I do now."

Soberano was on the late-night talk show to promote the newest fantasy series "Bagani."
