Speaking in front of ABS-CBN executives and everyone who worked tirelessly in making the movie possible, Soberano admitted she did not expect “My Ex and Whys” to do this well.

“I really didn’t because I felt like I did a bad job but hearing you all say that you guys really enjoyed the movie and that there was so much good feedback, I am just so grateful and thankful,” she said crying.

Soberano also gave special thanks to their director, filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina, for not giving up on her.

“I basically started with her doing ‘Got to Believe,’ ‘Forevermore’ and then this movie. She never gave up on me even during the times when I felt like I couldn’t give my best, when I felt like I wasn’t delivering what she wanted me to deliver, she was there,” she said.
