MANILA -- Child star McNeal "Awra" Briguela, who never fails to make audiences laugh with his funny antics, showed his emotional side on Monday after watching a taped message from his father, Oneal Briguela.

Awra appeared on the ABS-CBN morning talk show "Magandang Buhay" and tearfully thanked his father for his love and support.

"Papa, thank you po kasi sa lahat ng gusto ko sinusuportahan niyo ako. Sorry po minsan sobrang kulilt ko. Pero sa sobrang kulit ko, sobrang saya ko din po dahil lagi kayong nandiyan para itama at intindihin po ako. Salamat Papa at mahal na mahal ko din po kayo. Sana po ay lalo pa po niyo akong suportahan sa lahat ng gagawin ko," Awra said.

Awra touched the hearts of Filipinos as he shared his life story in the drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" last December. The special episode showed how the elder Briguela took care of Awra and his other siblings after their mother decided to leave their family.
