It was a rendition she only had a day to prepare for, but KZ Tandingan's soaring, acoustic cover of "Say Something" earned her a fourth-place ranking in this week's episode of China's "Singer 2018."

Once again, the Kapamilya singer had a number of the audience members in tears with her heartfelt performance of the song about parting ways from a loved one.

"Say Something" was Tandingan's first performance as a regular contender, after her probationary "challenger" status during her first two weeks.

While her rendition of the Christina Aguilera hit was well-received, going by the voting results, Tandingan revealed it was actually a last-minute song choice. She had been preparing another number, when she was told to switch to "Say Something" the night before she was due to perform.
