It's an extra special Valentine's Day for Maxene Magalona.

Her boyfriend, musician Robby Mananquil, proposed to her while on their loved-up vacation in Japan.

Magalona broke the news of her engagement as she posted a string of photos on her Instagram account — one showing Mananquil asking her for her hand in marriage — with the caption: "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

Magalona first revealed their relationship to fans back in 2015.

In a previous interview, the actress said that she already had a crush on Mananquil even before they got to know each other because she would go to music events to watch the band of her sister Saab.

Mananquil is the guitarist of local band Pulso.

Narrating how their love story began, Magalona shared: "Biglang he randomly messaged me online and there, I mean things started. We really connected."
