MANILA – Luis Manzano neither confirmed nor denied that he and Angel Locsin have already broken up, but admitted that they are currently going through a rough patch.

Manzano made the admission in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe after the premiere screening of “Everything About Her” on Tuesday, which stars Locsin and his mother Vilma Santos.

However, Manzano refused to go into details but pointed out that this has been their first major misunderstanding since they got back together in February 2014.

Citing a source, Felipe said Manzano and Locsin are still trying to work things out.

Despite this, Manzano said he still loves Locsin, which was why he showed up at the premiere night of “Everything About Her” to support his girlfriend.

“That’s a fantastic movie. Sobra sobra. Nung kinukwento nila mommy, nila Angel, grabe. Lahat ng kaba nila, lahat ng hard work nila for this movie, and everyone na part of the movie, talaga namang sulit na sulit. It’s a beautiful movie. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. It’s a special night for so many people so nandito talaga ako,” he said.

In his column for the Philippine Star on Wednesday, Ricky Lo cited an "unimpeachable source," claiming that Locsin and Manzano have parted ways again weeks after they arrived from their recent vacation to the US.

Lo, who did not reveal the reason for the break-up, added that there was no third party involved in the split.

The report also took note of Locsin's emotional moment during last Sunday's episode of "Pilipinas Got Talent" when she was brought to tears after watching the performance of Power Duo, prompting Manzano to comfort her.

In a separate interview with ABS-CBN News’ Jeff Fernando, Locsin explained that she was moved to tears because the performance of the PGT contestant “triggered” something that tugged her emotions.

“Ayaw ko talaga umiyak doon kaya lang nadala ako ng emotion. Kasi 'yung contestant natin, 'yung Power Duo, ibang klase ang pinakita nilang performance. Na-touch ako. May something sa puso ko na na-trigger nila,” she said.

Locsin and Manzano first became a couple in July 2007, but separated two years later. They confirmed their first break-up in October 2009, four months after their actual separation.

Manzano and Locsin decided to give their relationship another try in February 2014.
