He was just starting out as an actor when he was cast in the 1985 erotic movie "Scorpio Nights".

So you can't blame Daniel Fernando for not knowing what to do when he became inundated with flattering offers from lovestruck women.

"Tinatawanan ko lang," he admitted on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" this Friday as he recalled getting indecent proposals early on in his career. "Ngingiti lang ako tapos hindi ko na kakausapin."

He shared that he was frequently asked by fans if they can sleep with him, and that there was the one time when a foreigner inquired about how much it would cost to hire him for a night.

In Peque Gallaga's "Scorpio Nights," often described as one of the best examples of erotic moviemaking in local cinema, Fernando played a college student who had an affair with an housewife.

Fernando, who is now the vice governor of Bulacan, said that he had to take a month's worth of acting classes, which helped him feel comfortable about the nudity in the film.

Fernando was on the late night talk show to promote the upcoming finale this Friday of "Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin," the morning drama that stars Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, and Coleen Garcia.
