MANILA - Kapamilya star Xian Lim shared the biggest lesson he learned from working with one of the most beloved actresses in the industry, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos.

In an episode of "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Friday, the 26-year-old Lim shared the advice he received from his "Everything About Her" co-star.

"Mahalin mo lahat ng tao sa paligid mo," Lim said, adding: "The question I had before I got to work with her is why do millions of people love her, bakit mahal na mahal siya ng tao?"

"And I can see why kasi kinausap niya ako. Sabi niya, 'Xian, lahat iyan tayo ang tinitangala, tayo ang sikat. Pero take time to appreciate those people na nagdadala ng bag natin, lahat ng mga tao na nagdadala ng ilaw sa mga set para sumikat ka. So you love those people because you owe it to them."

Meanwhile, Lim also expressed gratitude towards Santos for defending him against those who are questioning his participation in the upcoming Star Cinema film.

"The previous months, dumating na ako sa point na mayroon pa ba akong ginagawa na tama? Parang bakit lahat ng gawin ko parang may mali? Bakit may nasasabi ang mga tao palagi?

"Pero at that time, si Miss Vilma pa ang nagsalita so I just felt really appreciative doon sa ginawa nila," he said.

Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal, "Everything About Her," which also stars Angel Locsin, is set to be released in theaters nationwide on January 27.
