MANILA - Saddened by the decision of the Office of the Ombudsman finding him guilty for various anomalies, Quezon City 2nd District Councilor Roderick Paulate took to Instagram to tell his followers that "the truth will prevail."

On Wednesday, Paulate and 1st District Rep. Francisco Calalay Jr. were found guilty of falsification of official documents, serious dishonesty, conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, and grave misconduct for allegedly hiring ghost employees.

The two, as well as liaison officers Flordeliza Alvarez and Vicente Bajamunde, were meted the following penalties: perpetual disqualification from public office, cancellation of eligibility, and forfeiture of retirement benefits.
