MANILA -- Actor Pepe Herrera on Wednesday admitted that he also feels sad to be leaving the hit primetime series "Ang Probinsyano."

Benny, the character he plays in the Coco Martin-starrer, died after trying to save his "chief" Cardo during Monday's much talked about episode.

In an interview on "Umagang Kay Ganda," Herrera admitted having mixed emotions as viewers mourned the death of Benny.

"It was very flattering, heartwarming and siyempre I felt the sadness. Kasi even mga kaibigan ko at kamag-anak, they felt sad and nagluluksa din po kahit paano," Herrera said.

Herrera also revealed that when they were shooting his final scenes, Martin even told him that he will miss him.

"Malambing po si Coco naturally, kaya 'yon sinasabi niya 'mamimiss ka namin.' Siyempre 'I miss you too,'" Herrera said.

According to Martin, Herrera had to exit the show as he was preparing to move out of the country with his mother.

Asked of what he will miss most about Benny, Herrera said: "Yung pagiging light po, 'yung pagiging inosente, hindi nagkikimkim or hindi nagtatanim."

While viewers won't see him anymore on "Ang Probinsyano," Herrera's fans can still catch him in the upcoming movie "Sakaling Hindi Makarating" with Alessandra de Rossi and JC Santos.

He will also be part of the revival of the musical "Sa Wakas," which will feature the songs of the band Sugarfree. The musical will run from January 12 to February 12 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Theater at Circuit in Makati City.
