MANILA -- ABS-CBN's long-running drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" will feature the life story of actress-host Kara Estrada this coming Saturday.

Estrada, the mother of young star Daniel Padilla, made the confirmation on Monday during the set visit for the third season of sitcom "Funny Ka, Pare Ko" with Bayani Agbayani.

According to Estrada, actress Angelica Panganiban will portray her in the special episode, with Alexa Ilacad as her younger self.

Estrada said she is thankful that Panganiban will be playing her.

Estrada explained that the "MMK" episode will focus on her life before she joined showbiz to pursue her dream to be a singer and actress.

"Basta wala lang love life.

Aside from co-hosting the morning show "Magandang Buhay," Estrada is also set to record an album and appear in a movie.
