MANILA - The eight entries to the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival have surpassed last year's record box office haul of P1.014 billion, according to organizers.

However, Star Cinema's Roxy Liquigan shared on social media that Vice Ganda's "Beauty and the Bestie" has grossed more than P428 million, and that the film will still be shown in selected cinemas until January 14.
