MANILA - Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada on Wednesday expressed support for President Rodrigo Duterte's war on crime, saying it is "good for business."

Okada said he also supports Duterte's campaign to eradicate online gambling and plans for casinos in the Philippines to be covered by the anti-money laundering law.

"It is the right thing to do, the business perspective he is doing the right thing. He is doing that to encourage more business opportunities," the Japanese tycoon told ANC.

Okada said his company is looking to hire about 20,000 Filipinos in the next two years for Okada Manila, his $2.4 billion integrated resort and casino in Entertainment City.
