Nag-anunsiyo ang ilang kompanya ng langis nitong Lunes na mababawasan ang kanilang singil sa mga produktong petrolyo simula Martes, Mayo 8.

Ayon sa abiso ng mga kompanya, nasa P0.30 ang bawas sa kada litro ng gasolina at diesel habang P0.60 naman sa kada litro ng kerosene.

Kasunod ito ng 3 sunod na linggong pagtaas sa presyo ng petrolyo.
